Button Earrings

Hey guys! This is Haylie!  Today I'm going to show you how to make these cute button earrings! They are super cute and super easy! You will need:
*A hot glue gun (you also might need extra glue sticks)
*Cute buttons
*Earring studs

First, buy your supplies. I got mine from a local craft store here in Rexburg, ID. The earring studs were $2.99 and the buttons were $3.99. So it was about $7-$8. Not too expensive.

Next, you need to match up your buttons and put glue on the backs of them. Take off the earring back and place the stud onto the glue. You will need to press the stud on to the back of the button to keep it staying on until it dries.

BEWARE: Sometimes, the glue goes through the holes in the buttons! It will mess the earrings up so try not to let the glue through.

Here are some more pictures:

These are some bigger ones I made..

Sorry for the bad lighting in this one. And my bed ;)

Thanks for reading! Merry Christmas!

Modernized jewelry hanger!!

Leah is a crafty wonderful girl and this is one of the cool crafts she's done! Check out her blog: americangirlchick.blogspot.com

Hi! My name is Leah and right now I am going to show you how I turned This
to this
So what I have here is a pink heart earring holder that I found at a Claire's jewelry store.
I have had it for several years and  wanted to change the style of it because of the style change of my bedroom.
So what I first did is I sprayed the rack with a metallic aluminum spray paint. I hardly had to spray a lot of paint on it.
And I let it dry for approximately 30 minuets. (it really doesn't take long at all)
Because the ribbon to hold it was pink I changed it to white ribbon to match.
It turned out really well and I am very pleased with the results. (This is the first time I have done a project like this.) You can almost spray paint anything! Anyways, Have fun

Glitter Jars!!

Make this super cute and crafty glitter jar. When I finished my glitter jar, I added a label that said, "I'm bored" and when I'm bored  I reach in the jar, where I put strips of paper with ideas of things to do on them.
For this craft, you will need: A mason jar, glitter (NOT glitter glue), Elmer's glue (NOT a glue stick), and water.
  1. Mix some glue with a tiny bit of water and stir.
  2. The mixture should be a runny liquid, but it should still be pretty sticky. Pour the mixture into the jar, put the lid on, and shake it!! Pour out the excess water/glue.
  3. Now, sprinkle some glitter in the jar, shut the lid, and shake. Add more glitter if needed. Now wait until the jar dries, and.....voila!! You just turned a plain mason jar into a sparkling glitter one. Have  fun! :)

3. After that, press your stamp face down onto a piece of paper for about 10 seconds. Make sure you press hard!
4. Use your green pen to add a stem to the clover.
5. This stamp is great for making cards!

Jewelry Hanger!

I've been looking for a way to hang my jewelry for a long time and then I found this on Pintrest! The supplies are: a flat canvas board, scrapbook paper, tape, command hooks, and tacky. All you do is cover the canvas with scrapbook paper and put the command hooks on. You can also decorate it with markers or something! The great thing about the tacky is that you can move the jewelry hanger wherever you want! Enjoy!!

You will need: an empty glass jar, a Christmas trinket, cotton balls or glitter, and hot glue.
First, glue your Christmas trinket to the lid of the jar (the jar should be upside down).

Candy Jar!!

Since Halloween is coming up we decided to make a candy jar. For this project you will need: 2 different colors of paint, 2 wooden thingies for the top and bottom, one wooden candlestick
(2 15/16" x 1 3/8" ; 1/2" hole), a glass jar, paint brushes, a round sponge paint brush, and newspaper or wax paper to paint on.

First, paint both of the wooden                                                                                          thingies for the top and bottom

  Then paint the candlestick.
After the wooden thingies are dry, paint the bottom of only one. While the bottom is drying, you can use the round sponge to add the polka dots to the top of the dry one.You can also add polka dots to the candlestick. While the polka dots dry, check if the bottom of the wooden thingy is dry. If not, just do nothing until it does dry. After the bottom dries, add polka dots to the top.  Once all of them dry, glue the wooden thingies and candlesticks together.

After they all dry, add the jar.                                              Then add candy!!!

Enjoy!!

Bow Hanger!!

This is probably one of the best and coolest looking and fun craft! So heres what you need: some cardboard, a hot glue gun, lots of hot glue sticks, fabric(I think it might work with scrapbook paper but I'm not sure), and scissors. First cut the cardboard to the size you want it and cut the middle out. Then, cut the fabric. You want the fabric to be kinda big so that  you can fold it around the back. You need to hot glue it to the back and then hold it to dry. Then cut the second fabric and hem the edges. I used a hot glue gun but I think a sewing machine would work... Then glue the fabric to the back and let it hang in the front. To hang it up you can use tacky stuff. If you don't know what that is you can use a thumb tack. It would need to be on the top and the bottom though. Have fun!!
