Holiday Jars

You will need: an empty glass jar, a Christmas trinket, cotton balls or glitter, and hot glue.
First, glue your Christmas trinket to the lid of the jar (the jar should be upside down).
Next, glue your cotton balls or sprinkle glitter around the trinket for "snow". Screw you're lid on, and there you have it! A cute decoration!
Tip: You shouldn't add water unless its a plastic trinket with glitter.

Candy Jar!!

Since Halloween is coming up we decided to make a candy jar. For this project you will need: 2 different colors of paint, 2 wooden thingies for the top and bottom, one wooden candlestick
(2 15/16" x 1 3/8" ; 1/2" hole), a glass jar, paint brushes, a round sponge paint brush, and newspaper or wax paper to paint on.

First, paint both of the wooden                                                                                          thingies for the top and bottom

  Then paint the candlestick.
After the wooden thingies are dry, paint the bottom of only one. While the bottom is drying, you can use the round sponge to add the polka dots to the top of the dry one.You can also add polka dots to the candlestick. While the polka dots dry, check if the bottom of the wooden thingy is dry. If not, just do nothing until it does dry. After the bottom dries, add polka dots to the top.  Once all of them dry, glue the wooden thingies and candlesticks together.

After they all dry, add the jar.                                              Then add candy!!!

Enjoy!!

Bow Hanger!!

This is probably one of the best and coolest looking and fun craft! So heres what you need: some cardboard, a hot glue gun, lots of hot glue sticks, fabric(I think it might work with scrapbook paper but I'm not sure), and scissors. First cut the cardboard to the size you want it and cut the middle out. Then, cut the fabric. You want the fabric to be kinda big so that  you can fold it around the back. You need to hot glue it to the back and then hold it to dry. Then cut the second fabric and hem the edges. I used a hot glue gun but I think a sewing machine would work... Then glue the fabric to the back and let it hang in the front. To hang it up you can use tacky stuff. If you don't know what that is you can use a thumb tack. It would need to be on the top and the bottom though. Have fun!!

Melt Your Heart Crayon Tutorial

Hey! Check this out! Here's how you do it: First find the supplies. They are crayons, a canvas, a hot glue gun and a hair dryer.  By the way this ONLY works with Crayola Crayon! Don't try to use any other crayons. I learned that the hard way.. First hot glue the crayons to the canvas. Then plug in your hair dryer and hold the canvas at an angle.  Use the hair dryer to melt the crayons until the right length for you. Let it dry (it won't take long) and draw hearts or any other design you want at the bottom! Have fun!

Wooden Letters!

A wooden letter from Hobby Lobby, spray paint from Walmart, a flower bow from Hobby Lobby, some fabric from Hobby Lobby, a hot glue gun, and hot glue sticks. That's all you need to make this adorable letter for your room! So firstly, spray paint the letter. To match your room of course. Then when it completely dry, hot glue the flower to the corner. Then you want to hem the edges and we just used our hot glue gun instead of a sewing machine (mainly because it works just a well and is faster).  We measured the fabric so it would fit perfectly across. We hot glued it on and we didn't put glue on it all the way around just the back (because if we take it off  we won't want the hot glue to stay on) . Then we hemmed the edges for the top and glued it to the letter. We tied a bow and hung it up! Have fun!

Wooden Frames!!

Washi tape frames... Cute and easy! What more could a crafter want?  The supplies are: Washi tape, a wooden frame and if wanted or needed scissors. You can get this all at Michaels. Now I did this for activity days so I don't know how much it would cost but I did do it so ya.  All the instructions are decorate it how ever you like!

Another idea! So here it is: You will need, 2 colors of paint, painters tape, a paint brush and a wooden frame. First paint the whole frame one color and let it dry. After it dries, use the painters tape to make stripes across the frame. Then use the other color of paint to paint the stripes. Then take the painters tape off and your done!

Money Jar!!

An ordinary mason jar to an adorable jar to hold your money or just a cute jar!
So the supplies are: tape, scrapbook paper, a glue stick, and of course a mason jar! First you have to cut the scrap book paper to size. A little space on the bottom and some on the top. And you have to measure the top of the lid too.  To put the outline around the top, cut the different paper smaller and glue it to the top. Now when you tape it on, you have to roll the tape and place it on the scrapbook paper and then put it on the lid or around the jar. Then your done! Enjov!

Ridiculously Tiny Bows!

How to make really cute bows with just a fork, scissors, and ribbon!

You will need: A dinner fork with 4 points, scissors, a thin ribbon about 4-5 inches long, and another ribbon that is about 3 inches long.

First, using the longer ribbon, weave it up and under the points of the fork, starting under the first point. When you get to the end of the row, turn around and make another row back through. Keep doing this until you have 5 rows.

Next, grab your 3 inch ribbon and tie it in the middle of the rows as shown below.

Then, slip your bow off the fork and cut off the rest of the 3 inch ribbon and you can shorten your 4-5 inch ribbon if you want.

These bows are perfect for cards! And just plain adorable!

Redesigning a bulletin board!

This is a pretty awesome craft if I do say so myself. Its pretty simple too. Here's how you do it: Like always you will some supplies. Here's what they are: 2 different kinds of fabric, a hot glue gun, hot glue sticks, some ribbon, spray paint, painter's tape and obviously a bulletin board.

You first have to divide your bulletin board into 6 equal sections. With the painter's tape. Decide on 2 of the squares to be blank which means you don't want fabric or anything on it. Cover that in painter's tape too. The whole square so that you don't spray paint it. Then, you have to spray paint the wooden boarder.

While its drying you need to chill. Relax. All this crafting should make you tired. :)

After its dry, cut the fabric to the size of the squares. 2 of one fabric and 2 of the other fabric. After you cut it, hot glue it to the squares. Make sure you get the fabric under the boarder.

Once you have glued all the fabric, cut the ribbon so it's the perfect length of the bulletin board. Then just glue it. Hang it up and your done!!

How to Redecorate an Ugly Stool.... By Haylie

So as you can see, the brown stool isn't very cute and it's obviously very old. Well the best way to redecorate an ugly stool is our way :) First off you need supplies. The supplies are: Spray paint, fabric, scissors, and a staple gun. ONLY USE THE STAPLE GUN WITH AN ADULT!! We don't want you to kill yourself. :) The first thing you need to do is spray paint the stool very carefully! While it dries you need need to cut the fabric to size. Make sure it's the right size or it could be a disaster! Then in order to make it look amazing you have to carefully fold in the corners and staple it. Keep going until its all stapled. Now, with my stool, the top comes off. The part that you sit on. So it might be a little harder using one that doesn't come off but I'm sure it will work just fine. Have fun!!

The cutest lamp ever!! By Haylie

So this lamp went from ugly to adorable in only a few hours! Here's how it we did: We bought some cute spray paint at Lowes and some fabric and lace at Hobby Lobby. We also had to get some hot glue sticks and our hot glue gun. First we spray painted it and let it dry. While it was drying we measured the lamp shade and the fabric and cut the fabric to size. We hot glued the top fabric a little bit folded instead of sewing it for the edges. The we did the bottom. We hot glued the lace to the bottom and glued it to the lamp shade. Its really that simple!

Magnet Boards! By Katrina and Haylie

So this magnet board is super easy to make and looks really cute when you hang it on your wall! Here's how you make it.

Supplies: Cookie board sheet, toilet paper roll, hot glue gun, scrapbook paper, drill, and magnets..

Step 1: Choose really cute scrapbook paper that will match your room and find an empty toilet paper roll.

Step 2: Cut the paper to the cookie board size. Hot glue the paper to your cookie board and on your magnets.

Step 3: Hot glue the paper to the toilet paper roll and add a bottom. Then hot glue it to the cookie board.

Step 4: Drill a hole in the top and bottom of the sheet. Not on the paper!!! (Don't worry if you can't drill the hole straight through super easy, it takes a little while).

Step 5: Nail to your wall and enjoy your cute new magnet board.
